Have you ever made your own miso before?
Have you ever thought you’d like to try to make your own miso?
.
As I got a license of a fermented Japanese food course last year, we decided to have a making our own miso day here!
.
As it’s my first attempt and challenge, I decided to get easy kits from Japan. It’s quite good quality one, and someone who I know makes these soy beans
.
And it’s a quite easy step so if you’d like to try to make it easily, it’ll be a great opportunity! If you also want to bring your kids, it’s totally fine too! My 3-year-old daughter made it before as well, so I believe if they can listen to you and can sit down properly, it’ll be no problem and it’ll be a good experience for them too
.
I’m planning to make it from scratch by myself in the future, however I heard that it’ll be a quite hard work (for preparation) so I’m not sure how much it would be then.

As we are worried about sickness around us now (so many people got sick including us), I decided to make only miso together and skip other dishes to be safe for everyone. However I’ll give you some recipes using miso!

We are looking forward to sharing a Japanese fermented food with you
